The West Milford Township governing body will commemorate the 12th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 on Wednesday morning at 8:30 in front of the town hall, 1480 Union Valley Road. It was at 8:45 a.m. a dozen years ago that one of two planes flew into the World Trade Center building in New York. Eighteen minutes later a second plane crashed into the other. By the end of the day, four planes were used as weapons by terrorists, killing over 3,000 people in New York, Washington, D.C. and in a field in Pennsylvania and forever changing this country's sense of security. The township honors those who lost their lives that day, each year at this ceremony. All are invited.
