Max Marra at Music at the Mission open mic Saturday

WEST MILFORD — Max Marra will be appearing at Music at the Mission's open mic Saturday night, playing to spread the word about an upcoming mission trip to Peru he and his sister will be taking and to help raise money for the trip.

Max is in his third year at Juilliard School of Music in New York City where he studies classical guitar. His musical career is flourishing. He recently participated in the Narnia Arts Festival in Narni, Italy.

Max and his siblings give back to the community using their musical gifts. All have played for elderly residents, bringing joy to their days.

This summer, Max and his sister Alessandra, a pianist attending Bard College, will join the St. Francis Xavier Mission in Peru organized by the Fraternity of St. Peter. They are raising money to help pay for their expenses.

Max will be performing Asturias by Isaax Albeniz at the Mission Saturday. Music at the Mission is held at the West Milford Presbyterian Church on Union Valley Road in West Milford. The music begins at 8 p.m. Admission is $5.
