This Tuesday’s general election will determine who sits in the mayor’s chair for the next four years.

Incumbent Republican Mayor Michele Dale, who won a one-year term last year to fill the seat after Democrat Bettina Bieri resigned, is seeking her first full term.

She is being challenged by Democrat Bob Nicholson in the only contested municipal race.

Republicans Kevin Goodsir and Warren Gross are on the ballot unopposed for the two Township Council seats up for election this year.

Dale beat incumbent Republican Councilman Lou Signorino in the June primary election, and Goodsir and Gross defeated incumbent Republican Councilman Peter McGuinness and challenger Steven Castronova for their respective spots on Tuesday’s ballot.

The Democrats did not field any candidates for the council race.

Polls will be open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
