One stop helps two

— On Saturday, May 12, Leo Kaytes Ford, located on Route 94 in Warwick, is hosting a fund raiser for two organizations: The Warwick Valley Humane Society and Warwick Odyssey of the Mind.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. community members are invited to test drive a new Ford.
For every drive, the Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Warwick Humane Society, up to $6,000.
Then, while on your drive, have your car washed by Warwick’s Odyssey of the Mind teams and help them raise money for their trip to the World Finals in Iowa May 23rd- 26th.
The work of the Warwick Valley Humane SocietyThe Warwick Valley Humane Society is a not-for-profit that provides animal control services via contracts with the towns of Warwick and Chester.
The humane society helps return lost pets to their owners, advocates for responsible pet ownership, helps find good homes for lost, stray and abandoned pets and assists local investigators investigate animal cruelty cases.
Fund raisers like this one enable to humane society to achieve these goals and continue to make a difference.
Odyssey of the MindMore than 850 teams from around the world will compete in the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, which is considered to be the largest international creative problem-solving competition worldwide.
This year, the Warwick Valley School District has three teams advancing to the World Championships in Iowa: an elementary team and two middle school teams.
All funds raised at the car wash will go directly to travel expenses for the team and coaches.
“We are proud to support both of these incredible organizations,” Leo Kaytes, owner of the Ford Dealership, said in the press release detailing the efforts. “We recognize their commitment and passion and are happy to help them achieve their goals.”
