Pet of the Week: 'Sammi' can feel the love

| 22 Jan 2019 | 12:40

WEST MILFORD – “Sammi” is a 3-year-old black DSH female currently available for adoption at the West Milford Animal Shelter.
Sammi grew up in the same house from the time she was a kitten with her friends, Mama Girl and Bob (also available for adoption), until her owners recently passed away.
People wouldn't realize at first that Sammi is blind, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying life and love. She can get around just fine as she gets used to her surroundings.
Shelter volunteers have made a habit of talking to her and saying her name as we approach her, then she starts purring the minute they touch her.
She might not be able to see, but there is no doubt that she can feel.
The West Milford Animal Shelter is Located on Lycosky Drive (behind recycling), or contact (973) 728-2859 for more information.
