WEST MILFORD — One hundred and twelve bikes hauling 140 people turned up in West Milford on Saturday, June 23, riding to benefit a young township boy, Nicholas Hahn, who was diagnosed with Burkett's leukemia last December. Starting treatment to meet this aggressive form of the disease on the same day he was diagnosed, Nicholas is now near the end of his treatments. "He's in complete remission now," said his dad, Joe Hahn Nicholas is doing well and the Hahn family has been overwhelmed with the support they've been shown. According to Marie Lautz, the ride was sponsored by the West Milford Midget Football Association and the Mountain Rest Inn on Wooley Road. She estimated that over $10,000 was raised by the bikers, a big help for a family facing significant medical bills. Donations can still be made to the Nick Hahn Fund c/o Lakeland Bank, 1527 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480.
