Romp to stomp for the cure

Photo provided On Saturday, Jan. 21, in the midst of the season's first real snow event, several members of West Milford's Greenwood Forest Fire Company participated in the Susan G. Komen "Romp to Stop" snowshoe race at Mountain Creek in Vernon. These members and their families sought donations for their participation and were able to raise several hundred dollars for cancer research. Other members and their families also participated in organizing the event. Despite the extra weight, the team opted to wear their fire jackets to show their involvement in the community outside of fighting fires. Pictured here are, from left, Kevin Townsend, Michael Blondin, Tara Blondin, Keith Weber, Kat Scheil and Stephen Hettema.
