An estimated crowd of 100 people attended “Stigma-Free” Family Fun Day at the recreational center on Saturday.
Sponsored by the town’s Stigma-Free Task Force, the event was held to bring awareness for people with addiction problems or mental health issues.
The event featured information from various township groups to help make the community aware of the challenges faced by those with a mental illness or drug addiction.
It also included “Scott’s Fun Run” in memory of resident Scott Stalbaum, 31, who passed away from a drug overdose in the fall of 2018.
