School district hires administrators

    WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Board of Education appointed two new administrators in July, as well as a transportation supervisor and an interim principal at Paradise Knoll.

    Alice Steinheimer will assume the position of director of Special Services in the district, after the retirement of Howard Heller. Steinheimer has nearly 22 years of experience in special education and has been a director of Special Services in both the Denville and Wharton Borough Public Schools. She has amaster's degree in educational leadership from the College of St. Elizabeth and a master's degree in special education from Adelphi University.

    Jennifer Viti was named to the position of supervisor of Reading and Language Arts.Viti has an extensive background that includes positions as a supervisor, assistant principal and principal. She has a master's degree in educational leadership from Seton Hall University and a bachelor's degree in secondary education, English from Clemson University.

    "The West Milford School District is very happy to welcome two outstanding administrators to its leadership team," said Dr. James V. McLaughlin, superintendent of schools.

    Charles Mazzei was appointed to the position of transportation supervisor. He most recently served as a terminal manager for Acme Bus Company in Middletown, N.Y.

    Patricia Hart is a West Milford resident who will serve as interim principal at Paradise Knoll Elementary School while Jennifer Cenatiempo is on maternity leave. Hart has 12 years of principal experience and an additional 20 years of teaching experience in private and public schools.She holds two master's degrees from Caldwell College in educational administration and in curriculum and instruction.

    "West Milford is very fortunate to have a professional of this caliber to serve on an interim basis," said McLaughlin.
