WEST MILFORD — While many West Milford residents are without power, there are some groups doing something to help.
The Ringwood Baptist Church, located at 30 Carletondale Road, is serving a free meal today until 7 p.m. All are invited.
The West Milford Presbyterian Church food pantry is open all day, serving hot soup, coffee and tea.
Showers are available at Hillcrest Community Center on Macopin Road and at West Milford High School on Highlander Drive, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Those wishing to stay at Hillcrest for the night should bring linens. Cots will be provided. Also, you can stop by and charge electronic devices.
Dry ice will be distributed from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Hillcrest. Bring a cooler.
For those looking toward Election Day Tuesday, all polling places except Macopin Middle School have power. If power is not restored by Tuesday, voters who normally vote at Macopin will be moved to Hillcrest. Call the clerk at 973-728-2714 for more information or if you have any questions.
Normal trash and recycling pick ups will start again on Monday, Nov. 5.
