WEST MILFORD — The first week of the West Milford Animal Shelter's Love-a-Palooza was a great success! Four cats and one kitten were adopted by new families and taken to their new forever homes.
The cats and dogs have been receiving a lot of Valentines. The cats decided to show the dogs how to dress for the event.
Rover, a very large and friendly black cat, laid out his wardrobe of ties and finally made his choice. He thought a big red bow tie would look best with his very dark, shiny fur and deep soulful eyes.
Bon Bon, a large black and white cat with a devilish personality, is always trying to remind the other cats that he is the best looking so he put on his big red bow tie to show Rover how it's supposed to look.
The dogs have not gotten into the dressing-up routine but a new dog up for adoption, Archer, thinks he may try to find something to wear. Archer is a nine-month-old Entlebucher Mountain Dog. He thinks a young dog can teach the cats a few tricks.
