WEST MILFORD — The Parish of St. Joseph in West Milford, the oldest Catholic parish in the entire state of new Jersey, celebrated Scout Sunday during its own 250th Jubilee Year recently.
The Boy Scouts of America has been active for 105 years, and for 55 of those years, the St. Joseph Parish has chartered Troop 114. During its charter, 96 young men have earned the rank of Eagle Scout, with more coming this year.
Rev. Steve Shadwell, along with the parish's religious men and woman, the Fr. Koch Council of the Knights of Columbus and the entire St. Joseph Parish family, are proud to have young men of such character actively participating in parish life. Your deeds are true to your principals - "Duty to God and Country."
