    Miranda Goscicki of Newfoundland, a freshman majoring in accounting, was named to the fall semester dean's list at Bryant University in Smithfield R.I..

    Carly Bordino, a senior psychology major from West Milford, was among more than 1,900 students from Coastal Carolina University who made the fall 2013 dean's list. To qualify for the dean's list, upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average.

    Katelynn Timony, a fourth-year student from West Milford, has been named to the fall 2013 dean's list at St. Bonaventure University. Timony's major is biology.

    Scott Dressler, of West Milford, has been named to Alvernia University's dean's list for the fall 2013 semester as a freshman communication major. To be eligible for the dean's list, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

    Garvin Jones of West Milford has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester at Salve Regina University. Jones is a sophomore majoring in economics. To qualify for the dean's list, full-time undergraduate students must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.6 with no grade below a "B" in that semester.

    Bryan J. Hunt of Hewitt, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering, was named a presidential scholar for the fall 2013 semester at Clarkson University. Presidential scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.


    The following students have earned the esteemed honor of placement on the dean's list at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for the fall 2013 semester:

    Brielle Jussen, a freshman isual arts major and a resident of Hewitt

    Lindsay Fenwick, a freshman interactive multimedia major and a resident of West Milford

    Steven Jeffas, a junior accountancy major and a resident of Hewitt

    Veronika Spangler, a freshman economics major and a resident of West Milford

    Alison Buske, a junior English secondary education major and a resident of Hewitt

    Hayley Civil, a freshman open option - humanities and social science major and a resident of Hewitt

    Kristen Luongo, a senior psychology major and a resident of West Milford

    Michele Vroegindewey, a senior deaf/hard of hearing/el major and a resident of Newfoundland

    Daria Wells, a senior elementary urban education/iSTEM major and a resident of West Milford

    Matthew Wells, a junior health and exercise science major and a resident of West Milford

    To achieve this honor, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade point average or above.

    Megan C. Dever of Hewitt was named to the dean’s list at William Paterson University College of Education fall 2013 semester.

    Joseph Vengen, a resident of West Milford and 2013 graduate of Pope John High School and former honor roll student at Macopin Middle School, earned a 4.0 GPA and made the dean's list in his first semester at the Rochester Institute of Technology's Katherine Gleason School of Engineering, where he is dual majoring in mechanical engineering and physics. he also has a utility patent pending on a design created during high school, for which he won the Office of Naval Research Science Award at last year's Junior Science & Humanities Symposium.


    Rider University's colleges of Business Administration, Continuing Studies, Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences, and Westminster College of the Arts have announced the names of undergraduate students who have been placed on the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester:

    The following local residents were named to the fall 2013 dean's list at Saint Michael's College, a liberal arts and sciences, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont:

    Layne E. Emery, daughter of Stephen Emery of West Milford, a junior political science and global studies major

    Keriann M. Mussi, daughter of Darlene and James Mussi of West Milford, a senior psychology major

    Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the Dean's List.


    Zachary Hankinson of Hewitt, a second-year student in the mechanical engineering program in RIT's Kate Gleason College of Engineering, made the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for dean's list if their quarterly GPA is greater than or equal to 3.4 and have completed at least 12 credit hours.


    The following students from West Milford have been named to the dean's and honors lists at Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham, located in Madison, for the fall 2013 semester:

    Michael Weber, son of Michael and Carol Weber of Newfoundland, made the dean's list at William Paterson College for the fall 2013 semester.


    Joseph Mays of West Milford is a recipient of the dean's award for academic excellence during the fall 2013 term at Colgate University. To be eligible for the dean's award, a Colgate student must achieve higher than a 3.30 average while enrolled in at least four courses.
