Sweet Chelsea needs a home

WEST MILFORD — Because so many homeless kittens come into the West Milford Animal Shelter every spring, there are always a few that do not find homes. Chelsea is one of them. She now has the dubious honor of being the cat that has been at the shelter the longest - three years.

Chelsea has not been unhappy at the shelter but she has become a bit timid. She lives in the shelter's cattery house where some of the cats are allowed to roam freely. They can also sleep in a fluffy bed on a shelf and bask in the sun or curl up in a corner for a quiet nap.

Chelsea usually likes to hang out on the higher shelves but has been moving around more lately and becoming more social. She likes attention but she needs time to warm up to people.
