Name: Brielle Mulvihill
Age: 17
School/grade: West Milford High School Senior
Activity: Basketball
This week we take five with Brielle Mulvihill, a senior at West Milford High School and a member of the girls varsity basketball team. Brielle certainly looks up to her parents and her West Milford High School Highlander family as well. And her favorite time of year is coming up.
1. How did you get involved with basketball?
I got involved with basketball because of my dad. It was his favorite sport and one day I randomly asked him if I could try.
2. Who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my mom. Even when she was sick she was working hard and the best mom ever. Everything I do is to make her proud.
3. What would most people be surprised to know about basketball?
The most surprising thing about my activity is how close the girls and the coaches are and how much fun we have together as a group. Also that we are fantastic singers.
4. What does being a Highlander mean to you?
Being a Highlander means being a family. No matter what I am going through, I know my entire school (family) has my back.
5. Share something no one knows about you.
Something that no one knows about me is that I love Thanksgiving. Basketball starts right after Thanksgiving and ball is life.
Having family and friends you can count on is priceless. Something to really be thankful for. And good luck with the upcoming basketball season, Brielle. Make it memorable.

Bonus five
6. Name three things you would bring with you if you were on a deserted island.
Three things I would bring on a deserted island would be my phone, a jet, and fuel so I can go home and take pictures during the flight.
7. Share a favorite moment with your team.
My favorite moment with the basketball team has to be any of the bus rides on the way home from away games we win because if we’re lucky we’ll hear Lacroix sing “Hypnotize.”
8. What do you do with your time when you are not playing basketball?
When I am not playing basketball I enjoy taking pictures.
9. What is your favorite movie, book or character and why?
My favorite movie is "Love and Basketball." It makes my heart happy.
10. Who is your favorite teacher of all time and why?
My favorite teacher of all time is Peter Jacklin. He made learning fun and I was always laughing in that class.
