The Cash Mob struck again last Saturday, this time to Battinelli Gift Shop on Greenwood Lake Turnpike in Hewitt. What is a cash mob? According to cashmobs.wordpress.com, the general idea of a cash mob is to encourage people to go shopping at small, local businesses, en masse, to give the business owner a small version of economic stimulus. They've been around since summer 2011 and started here in West Milford in 2012. The goal is to support local businesses.
