Students at Paradise Knoll School had a special in March-it was the Cat in the Hat!The Cat came to visit the students during their birthday celebration for the Cat’s creator, Dr. Seuss. The children in kindergarten through second grade had special gifts for the Cat as well:The kindergarten decorated the room with their crafty Cat in the Hat portraits. The first graders treated the Cat to a special song they prepared:“I do not like Green Eggs and Ham.” The second graders each read a short essay they wrote about which Dr. Seuss book is their favorite and why, and some also shared their illustrations with the crowd. The students gave the Cat a special award -presented by first grade teachers Sally Burns and Kelly Frasca - in classic Dr. Seuss format.
