The chamber and Sustainable West Milford: perfect together

WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Chamber of Commerce is hosting its May meeting on Wednesday, May 9, at 7 p.m.

This month's meeting features guest speaker Dave Watson-Hallowell, co-founder and president of Sustainable West Milford. His topic: How Sustainable West Milford and the chamber of commerce can benefit from each other.

Sustainable West Milford runs the local farmer's market, the community Time Bank where services are shared amongst its members, the medicinal garden, the community garden and Ample Harvest, a nationwide program that connects family gardeners and food pantries.

According to its Web site, Sustainable West Milford is a non-profit organization that looks to "Enable community members to transform West Milford and it's regional neighbors into an economically vibrant, environmentally friendly, and sustainable community through their personal participation and leadership."
