Macopin Middle School 8th grade students Kat Gallagher and Kacper Boguszewski display their winning CD Cover Contest projects in Ms. White’s Computer Applications Class. Students were given three days to select a CD cover to duplicate, by hand, using the simple MS Paint software. The graphics program comes included with all versions of Microsoft Windows, so it is readily available to students in all computer labs throughout the district. Being able to use that software is a fundamental skill necessary for students to master. Kat’s version of the Bruno Mars cover earned her first place and a $15 gift card to iTunes. Kacper earned a second place $10 gift card to Subway for his work on the classic Michael Jackson cover.
