West Milford. The West Milford Community Services & Recreation Department is now collecting food products for its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.
The department is looking for non-perishable items such as canned goods, boxed stuffing, boxed potatoes as well as muffin or cookie mixes.
It can also accept items like dry cereal and oatmeal mixes.
Donors are asked to check the expiration date on the items, as the department cannot accept expired goods.
All items collected will go to local West Milford families in need.
Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the West Milford Recreation Center located at 66 Cahill Cross Road.
Those that would like to donate a frozen turkey should contact Flo McClellan in the Senior Services Department at (973) 728-2871.
A limited number of turkeys will be accepted.
