WEST MILFORD — West Milford Township will hold its annual free rabies prevention clinic for cats only on Saturday, April 28, 2012, from 9 a.m.to 12 noon at the town hall main meeting room, 1480 Union Valley Road.

It is important for animal owners to know that the State of New Jersey now recommends that both cats and dogs be re-vaccinated every two years. This will ensure that there is no lapse in a pet’s protection against this deadly disease.

All cats must be in a carry case and brought in by an adult.

There will be no make-up date.Cat owners are asked to review their records to make sure the rabies protection is valid until April 24, 2013.If the protection expires before April 24, 2013, you must attend this free clinic or visit your veterinarian to obtain the vaccination or a 2012/2013 license cannot be issued for your pet.
