Township hosting driver safety program for seniors

— West Milford Community Services and Recreation, in conjunction with A.A.R.P. will be sponsoring a Driver Safety Program on Wednesday, May 1, 2013

The class will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an hour break for lunch.

The program will be held at the Hillcrest Community Center (room 21), 1810 Macopin Road, West Milford. The cost is $12 for A.A.R.P. members and $14 for non members.

When you register you must bring your A.A.R.P. card, if you are a member.

The course helps drivers refine existing skills and develop safe, defensive driving techniques. There are no tests and no behind the wheel exam.

Upon completing the class, participants will be eligible to receive a state mandated three-year discount on their auto insurance. Contact your insurance company to find out the amount of the discount. Participants may also be eligible to recover two points on your driving record. Call the NJ Motor Vehicle Department at 609-292-7500 to confirm the status of your record.
