WEST MILFORD – A new fitness center focused on both technique and wellness, Patience & Consistency, has come to Passaic County’s northernmost town, opening at an accessible location along Route 23 North in the Newfoundland section of West Milford, the company announced in a press release.
The studio, at the former home of Signs for Today, at 2850 Rt. 23 N., is operated by West Milford residents and longtime personal trainers Justin Florio and Allison Barrett, who will also be married in February 2019, the release said.
P&C Fitness celebrated a “grand opening” for the studio on Monday, Dec. 17, marshaled by newly elected West Milford Mayor Michele Dale.
According to the release, the studio is fully operational at the Route 23 site, offering a wealth of exercise machines and stations.
Florio and Barrett’s goal is to instill and create healthy lifestyles for their clients – comprised mostly of nearby residents.
The trainers have a combined 15 years in the field, giving them the ability to work with numerous populations, including clients with cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis, plus older adults, athletes and others, the release said.
According to the release, P&C Fitness offers personal training, small group classes and other classes. Florio and Barrett stress form and safe execution of personalized programs. The P&C workout regimen is never repeated, as sessions or classes remain consistently varied.
“The key to a healthy lifestyle is truly ‘patience and consistency,’” Florio said in the release. “Our training philosophy revolves around helping our clients make small and sustainable changes to their daily routine. We believe in teaching our clients the fundamentals of exercise and the basic principles of proper nutrition.”
P&C Fitness teaches clients exercise fundamentals and proper nutrition principles, helping them balance lifestyle habits with fitness goals.
“More often than not, when people embark on a health and fitness journey, they expect instant results and get discouraged quickly when they feel they’re not making progress,” Barrett said. “We educate our clients on these principles. They learn to trust the process, be patient with their goals and work toward achieving them.”
According to the release, Florio is an ACE certified personal trainer, a fitness nutrition specialist, sports performance specialist and studied exercise science at William Paterson University. Barrett holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and is an ACSM certified personal trainer and a NASM fitness nutrition specialist.
New customers can contact P&C Fitness today for a one-hour complimentary session, the release said.
The company is also promoting a special that includes four one-hour sessions for $199, according to the release.
