UGL students 'Stuff the Bus' to feed families in need
WEST MILFORD -- Upper Greenwood Lake Elementary School students were able to “Stuff the Bus” with food for folks in need.
Student Council members, working under the supervision of advisors Charlene Pappas and Jennifer Magnotta, boxed up non-perishable donations and personally delivered them to the Rev. Dr. Janet Macgregor-Williams at the West Milford Presbyterian Church for the church's food pantry and for the Women’s Shelter.
“They were so excited to see where the food gets to go to help families in need," Pappas said.
UGL's principal, Dr. Gregory Matlosz, commented: “A big thank you to the UGL Student Council, Mrs. Magnotta, Ms. Pappas (advisors), and the UGL community for donating items for the local food pantries. Our students continue to show why UGL and the entire district practice character education. It truly makes a difference."
