Gentle Yoga with Michelle...Virtually!

Let go of stress and find strength, balance and joy with virtual gentle yoga classes led by Michelle Brook, 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher certified by the American Yoga Academy on Tuesday September 15 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. and Tuesday, October 20 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

Let’s Talk Books - A Virtual WMTL Event

Do you love to read? We do, too! Do you love to talk about what you’re reading? We do, too! Join West Milford Township Library for a fun hour of virtual discussion on what we’ve all been reading, then let’s share a few additional recommendations to add to our to be read list!

Virtual Book Discussion Group for Adults

Chapters is a celebration of reading and...talking! West Milford Township Library’s virtual book discussion group for adults meets the third week of every month. Titles can be checked out on hoopla as a downloadable e-book or audiobook.

On Wednesday, September 16 , 11:00-11:45 a.m. and Thursday, September 17, 7:00-7:45 p.m. join us to discuss The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek written by Kim Michele Richardson. And on Wednesday, October 14 from 11:00-11:45 a.m. or Thursday, October 15 from 7:00-7:45 p.m. we will discuss The Gown written by Jennifer Robson. Soul Collage ® Virtual Inner Compass Workshop

West Milford Township Library invites you to find an inner compass on Thursday, September 24 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Join Pat Decker, Certified SoulCollage® Facilitator and Board-Certified Art Therapist, for this virtual workshop to create your own personal decks of collaged cards. No art experience is necessary – if you can cut and paste, you can do it! All materials will be provided.

Rails to Sterling Forest - A WMTL Virtual Event

On September 30 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm, West Milford Township Library invites you to be a passenger on a virtual railroad trip on the Erie Railroad with author Kevin Olsen! Take the scenic route and discover the definitive story of the Erie Railroad’s Greenwood Lake Division, from the railroad’s construction as the Montclair Railway to the line’s use by NJ Transit.

Kevin Olsen is the Chemistry and Biochemistry Instrumentation Specialist at Montclair State University, where he earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Environmental Management. Kevin has published a number of papers related to chemical history. As a lifelong history enthusiast, model railroader, and lover of the North Jersey Highlands, he has also published papers on New Jersey’s transportation history. His second and most recent book is Rails to Sterling Forest: The History of the Erie’s Greenwood Lake Division.

Virtual Events for Film Fans

West Milford Township Library invites film fans to watch a movie...at home, then join us for a virtual discussion.

On October 2, we’ll discuss Loving Vincent, the life story of Vincent van Gogh as told by his paintings and by the characters that inhabit them. The film features 120 of Vincent van Gogh’s greatest paintings. Rated: PG-13.

The American Postcard: A WMTL Virtual Event

West Milford Township Library invites you to join us online for a virtual program that examines the history of the American postcard with educator and photographer Jim DelGiudice, October 6 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Postcards have been with us since the time of George Eastman. They have gradually been replaced by emails and texts, but the postcard was our country’s first social media. Enjoy a virtual trip down memory lane as we look at examples of what was meant by the once-common phrase “Drop me a postal.”

Online Crafting with Elaine

West Milford Township Library invites you to join Elaine for a fun and virtual crafternoon on October 8 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

When you register for this free virtual event, we will assemble your craft kit with all the pieces needed to complete the craft at home. You will receive an email that that your craft kit is ready for pick up at the library, and we’ll also let you know of any additional supplies or tools you will need to have on hand to complete the craft.

Curbing Chronic Inflammation – a WMTL Virtual Event

Inflammation is a normal response to injury or irritation; but what about chronic inflammation?
