— The UGL Trep$ Marketplace was held just before spring break and what an event it was. The 36 students from UGL who participated in this award-winning after-school program launched their first businesses at the marketplace.
The six-week TREP$ program taught these 10 to 12 year old budding business owners the basics of entrepreneurship, including marketing their products. And they did a great job of that.
The products sold were very diverse, from customizable LEGO jewelry, slime, bath bombs and stress balls to homemade pillows, tie dyed shirts, homemade body scrubs, bird feeders and mason jar candles. And more!
The program was a huge success and the lessons learned from launching their first successful business venture were unforgettable.
Sponsored by the UGL PTA, the initiative is designed to serve as an inspiration for young people to think creatively and to put their ideas into action by creating a new business.
