WEST MILFORD — Are you protected against an unforeseen incident? Is your insurance up to date and adequate? These are questions well worth considering and, if you are unsure of your circumstances, it may be in your best interest to speak with an insurance expert.
New to West Milford, Vreeland Insurance, Inc. may have the answers and the solutions to your insurance questions or concerns.
Vreeland Insurance, Inc. may be new in town but they’ve been in business since 1931. Originating in Boonton, they opened offices in Rockaway and Sparta and on Feb. 2, 2015 they launched their new agency in Bearfort Shopping Village in West Milford.
Serving the northern New Jersey area, Vreeland Insurance, Inc. is an independent insurance agency writing for both individuals and businesses including auto, home owners, business, group health and life insurance.
As part of the “Trusted Choice Independent Agent” organization, they, along with 140,000 other licensed agents, can provide insurance through reputable national and local insurance companies.
Owned by Joseph Merullo, the agency invites all to contact them regarding specific insurance needs.
Speaking for Vreeland Insurance, Inc. was operations manager Brian Ward who handles human resources, internet technology and bookkeeping for the company.
Personal shopperWith a roster of more than 15 insurance carriers to choose from, including, but not limited to Selective, Travelers, MetLife, Progressive and The Hartford, Vreeland Insurance, Inc. selects the best option for their clients through personalized customer service.
“We can shop for the best price and coverage appropriate for your prospects,” Ward said.
In some cases, savings may be possible when policies are bundled, for instance homeowners and auto insurance.
Home sweet homeWhen asked about homeowners' insurance, Ward stated that in order to select the proper amount of coverage you should not go by the value of the house. Should there be a total loss, there may be additional costs in excess of the rebuilding of the home such as demolition and architectural fees. Basing insurance on the square footage of the home overlooks the variations of the quality of the home’s construction and materials.
“This should be discussed with an agent. The key is don’t use the value of the home to determine what the home should be insured for,” he said.
Look at your coverageWard recommended that everyone should review their policies periodically, annually or at least every few years.
“Things change with insurance carriers and people’s situations change.”
His best advice when choosing insurance coverage is to look at the big picture.
“Although price is important, it should not be the determining factor when buying insurance. The determining factor should be making sure that your assets are covered properly,” he said.
Get peace of mindWard said that Vreeland Insurance, Inc. offers choices. From price to coverage, the needs of the client are carefully considered. Peace of mind comes from knowing that your assets are covered.
“We are excited to enter West Milford and we look forward to being here for a long time and to having success in the community,” Ward said.
