Charity event to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, breast cancer research
Weichert, Realtors will host its 12th Annual Charity Golf Outing on Thursday, Aug. 16, at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in Bedminster to raise funds for the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.
"With one out of every eight women being diagnosed with breast cancer, it's an unfortunate reality that this disease will touch all of our lives in some way, shape or form," said Jacelyn Botti, head of residential sales for Weichert Realtors. "We started our annual golf outing as a way to honor and support the breast cancer victims and survivors from the Weichert family and the millions of others like them. It makes me proud to say that since we had our first golf event in 2000, Weichert has raised more than $500,000 for breast cancer research."
Individuals and businesses are invited to participate in the fundraiser. Team awards will be given out for first and second place, and there will be contests for both men and women for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Closest to the Line. In addition, many fabulous prizes will be raffled, including the grand prize of an LCD television.
A donation of $349 provides individuals a round of golf with cart, lunch, photo, commemorative pin and post-tournament three-hour buffet cocktail reception. For a donation of $175, an individual may attend the buffet cocktail reception and awards banquet.
A range of six sponsorship levels ensures an affordable sponsorship option for businesses - both large and small. Contributions of gifts and prizes are also welcome from businesses as donations. Participants in the 12 Annual Charity Golf Outing who are traveling from out of town, have the option to stay at the Bridgewater Marriott, located at 700 Commons Way in Bridgewater, on Aug. 15 and/or Aug. 16 for a discounted group rate of $165 per night.
