West Milford celebrates Respect Week

WEST MILFORD — Respect Week was celebrated from Oct. 7 through 11 in all of West Milford schools. They learned about teamwork and being loyal and did exercises throughout the week to put what they learned in action. At Paradise Knoll, students wore specific items based on the day. On Monday, they showed their spirit by wearing school colors and PK gear; Tuesday they learned about being safe and wore bright colors. Wednesday was a lesson in honesty and being "true blue," so they all wore blue. On Thursday, they all wore their favorite team's colors or jerseys when they learned to be a team player. On Friday, they celebrated the goals they accomplished by wearing colors based on their grade.

At Apshawa, the students showed how they are connected with a huge construction paper chain.

Different activities happened in each of the schools but the message was the same throughout: Respect yourself, respect each other and respect your schools.
