WEST MILFORD ‑‑ A lot of little folks will be cozy and warm this winter thanks to the efforts of a social action group at the Westbrook Elementary School.
Westbrook Cares students gathered together dozens of hats, gloves/mittens and pajamas to donate to St. Joseph R.C. Church's annual "Spirit of Christmas" drive.
The clothing helped out more than 100 local children in need, organizers said.
Helping the students collect and sort things were the school's social worker, Wendy Becker, and fifth-grade teacher Christine Errichiello, said building aide Dawn Bufardeci.
St. Joseph's also collected the toys and other presents that were distributed to the community on Saturday, Dec. 9.
