Westbrook Elementary School hosted its Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) day for the third grade on April 11.
Parents assisted the students in the morning working through the engineering design process in order to solve problems and to complete tasks, according to the school.
The students needed to think smart, be creative, take chances and adjust their thinking in order to be successful, school officals said.
