West Milford Local orthodontist Dr. Lawrence Piekarsky is holding a “Literary Contest for free braces.” This contest is open to kids ages 10-17 and consists of a 400-500 word essay on why you feel you deserve to receive braces at no cost. The essay will be judged by Dr. Piekarsky and his staff and the winning entry will be entitled to free orthodontic treatment with all related orthodontic expense covered from initial exam to retainers. Entrants must be within a 30 mile radius of his office at 1900 Union Valley Road, in Hewitt. Essays must be entirely written by the applicant in his/her own words and must be postmarked no later than April 30, 2007. Essays should be mailed to L.P. Associates, Dr. Lawrence Piekarsky, 1900 Union Valley Road, Suite 102, Hewitt, New Jersey, 07421. A finalist will be notified by May 16, 2007. Essays should be typed and double spaced, with contestants name, age, address, and phone number at the top. Essays will be judged on content, grammar, and spelling with consideration of child’s age. Contestants must have parent and/or legal guardian sign and date their entries. Piekarsky practiced in Hewitt for over 15 years, and contributes to children of the community via Operation Graduation fundraisers, sponsored sport teams, and golf outings. Any additional costs associated from treatment that is necessary to achieve desired results that is done by another physician working contiguously with Dr. Piekarsky will be the winners responsibility i.e. surgeries, and/or implants etc. Contestants will be responsible for 6 month dental check ups during treatment with a dentist of their choosing.
