WEST MILFORD Students had the opportunity to learn about the banking world and the economy when Lakeland Bank representative, Diane Woods, visited Richard Dygos’ eighth grade business classes at Macopin Middle School last month. She covered topics such as savings accounts, checking accounts, credit cards and interest rates. The presentation was sponsored by the New Jersey Bankers Association, the League of Community Bankers, and the State of New Jersey as part of a statewide initiative to raise student awareness of bank saving, checking and credit card accounts, and to provide a general understanding of responsible personal financial management. Lakeland Bank has served as a business partner with the Business Education Department of West Milford for more than 20 years.
