WEST MILFORD—Although the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders had expressed interest in purchasing the South Shore Marina to provide a public access point into Greenwood Lake the idea has become a no-go. People from both Greenwood Lake and West Milford expressed their disapproval of the idea to the Open Space Committee, which would have partnered with the county to buy the marina. At the freeholders’ meeting on September 27, they announced they were dropping the idea. The freeholders had authorized an appraisal of the property, but even that has been halted.
