POMPTON PLAINS-Chilton Memorial Hospital's Health & Wellness Program, New Vitality, and Refresh & Renew are sponsoring a dinner that should be lots of fun for women approaching, experiencing, or still wondering about menopause. The program will feature Sunny Hersh, motivational speaker and author of the book, Mid-Life Mamas on the Moon, which is a guide for women about health during the second half of their lives. "Hersh is an entertaining speaker, but she packs a serious message about women taking control of their lives and making their health a priority," Chilton Memorial's New Vitality director, Joan Beloff, said. "She is open and candid when talking about menopause, a topic that was once taboo. It should really be lots of fun to hear a great speaker talk about a fascinating topic, while enjoying a scrumptious meal in the company of old friends and new ones attendees can meet that evening." "Every attendee will receive a goodie bag, a solid chocolate purse courtesy of Chocolate Express and Smith Barney, and a chance to win some fabulous prizes," Beloff, said. "Plus, the three girls who bring the most friends to the celebration will win special spa treatments." The event is just $30. It will be held from 5:30 n 9 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Bethwood, which is located at 38 Lackawanna Ave. in Totawa. Reservations must be made by calling 973-831-5367 by June 2.
