Mountain biking class offered

    WEST MILFORD —Fall is a great time of year to enjoy the beauty of West Milford — especially on amountain bike. Chris Greyshock, experienced Mountain Bike instructor, will offer two classes through West Milford Community School. Starting October 8, on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. for five weeks, intermediate and advanced riders are welcome to explore local single track and advanced trails in West Milford and surrounding areas. This course is ideal for advanced riders who want to discover new trails and meet fellow mountain bike enthusiasts. This course will also provide the intermediate rider with an opportunity to gain a higher level of riding knowledge and valuable experience. A beginner's class will meet on Sunday mornings starting October 9, for five weeks, at 9 a.m. and will end approximately at 10:30 a.m. This class is geared towards learning how to read trails, protect the natural environment, as well as bike safety. The emphasis will be on having fun, enjoying the outdoors, meeting new friends with the goal of increasing rider skills. The trails for the beginner class are local and easy. Price is $55 for both classes. Each class will meet for one evening on Wednesday, October 5 to review equipment and provide ride locations and schedules (which will be based on trail and weather conditions).
