There’s no need to travel to France for Paris in the springtime. There’s a “springtime Paris” in the West Milford Animal Shelter, a three-year-old spayed Beagle. She arrived at the shelter as a stray with a very red and raw skin rash and massive fur loss caused by flea infestation. She was constantly scratching and did not want to be touched. Shortly after her arrival at the shelter, Paris was given a bath. Her flea infestation was so severe that her bath water turned black from all the fleas and flea droppings. Her skin has started to heal and her fur has started to grow back. She is not only looking better, she is feeling better. She loves attention and loves to be petted. Paris is sweet, gentle, calm and very loving. She gets along well with most other dogs and is very tolerant of cats. She would be happiest in a home with children aged ten and up.
