PASSAIC COUNTY The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) recently honored Elsa Reinhardt, naming her the NJAWBO Women’s Business Center Superstar. Reinhardt, president of the Passaic County Chapter, received the award for her extraordinary commitment to the advancement of women business owners. “I can’t think of a more deserving person to honor than Elsa, who is more accustomed to giving than receiving,” said Penni Nafus, Director of the Women’s Business Center. “In addition to generously sharing her financial resources and organizational skills, she has, with passion and conviction, provided leadership and guidance to women business owners, from nervous neophytes to experienced entrepreneurs.” In 1990, after working over 30 years in the banking industry, Reinhardt left the corporate world to start Elsa Reinhardt Enterprises, a business consulting company that works with various companies in Passaic and Bergen counties helping them operate more efficiently and effectively. A current member of the group’s advisory board, Reinhardt played a key role in developing and implementing the popular Are You an Entrepreneur? program, which is offered free throughout the state, to women who are thinking about starting their own businesses. Sought after for her organizational skills and for simply doing what needs to be done, Reinhardt is also the catalyst behind the Women’s Entrepreneurial Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides money for education, training, and grants to organizations that support women who would like to start their own businesses. Reinhardt serves as the organization’s president and managing trustee. The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners Passaic County Chapter holds breakfast, lunch and dinner meetings.
