WEST MILFORD — Lance Corporal Brian Parrello, who gave his life in the line of duty on January 1, 2005, will be commemorated on Friday, October 28 when the West Milford Post Office officially renames its building after him. Parrello, a 2003 graduate of West Milford High School, was slain a week shy of his 20th birthday during a combat operation in Iraq. Since that time Congressman Scott Garrett (R) and U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg (D) introduced a bill to rename the post office for Parrello. The ceremony, which will be overseen by Postmaster Joseph Inserra, begins at 10 a.m. The post office is located on Union Valley Road, across the street from the Pinecliff Lake clubhouse.
