GREENWOOD LAKE, N.Y. The skeletal remains of a heavyset, tall adult man were found by a driver of an all-terrain vehicle riding through the woods in southern New York. Police in Greenwood Lake, about 40 miles north of New York City, said it was not known how the man died. The bones were found Thursday evening and removed by state police Friday morning. The body had been there for at least a month, New York State Police Lt. Kevin Costello said. Police said it was difficult to tell how old the man had been.
