Marshall Hill School participated in National Safety Week during the month of October. Students were involved in daily theme activities focusing on safety awareness. Themes included bus safety, personal safety, internet safety and fire safety. Activities included a safest bus competition and bus evacuation; a personal safety checklist and review; and a fire safety checklist and review. In addition, students and parents were asked to conduct a home fire inspection and fire drill. All students went through a “smoke house.” The Greenwood Forest Volunteer Fire Company did a presentation for the students. The Marshall Hill PTA also sponsored an assembly by Quiet Riot Theater Group on personal safety.
