WEST MILFORD During the last two weeks, over 200 children from Saint Joseph’s parish attended the Summer Religious Education program, with various activities being held in the Parish Center and in the church. Religious Education Director, Sr. Geraldine Corio, PBVM, reported that the theme for the summer of 2006 was “God Feeds Us With Blessings.” Under Sr. Corio’s direction, at least 60 volunteers, comprised of teens and adults, gave their time to ensure a smooth flowing educational and religion-based recreational program for the children. While the younger children, in grades 2-6, met in the mornings and had a daily bible lesson, craft time and music session, the older 7-8 graders gathered in the evening. The young teens learned about justice and morality and the challenges that face them in their need to be responsible and accountable. In several sessions in the church, Fr. Sigmund Peplowski, pastor of Saint Joseph Church, assisted by Seminarian Raymond Orama, presented to the youngsters an overview of the seven sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church.
