With Greenwood Lake lowered several feet, West Milford’s Cub Scout Pack 44 cleaned up “underwater” at Brown’s Point on Jan. 6. It was during the unseasonably warm weather and the whole underwater area was able to be cleaned of debris. Pictured is Den 5’s Graham Padley with the pile of trash collected. Along with bottles, cans and car tires, some of the more interesting items retrieved were a bowling ball, three shoes, two anchors, a boat propeller, a car seat and an airplane tire. First- and second-grade boys from the Hewit and UGL area interested in joining Cub Scouts should call assistant pack master Mike Ellis at 973-728-2772.
