West Milford The West Milford Detective Bureau made seven heroin arrests from Oct. 22 through Nov. 10, according to a release by Sgt. Robert Congleton. All seven individuals were charged with possession and/or distribution. Marc Zona, 20, of Hewitt, and Jeffrey Blake, 20, of Oak Ridge, were arrested on Oct. 22 for possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic needle and paraphernalia. Both were charged and released on summons. Branden Burden, 20, of Hewitt, was arrested on Oct. 26 for possession of a hypodermic needle and paraphernalia (spoon with heroin residue on it). Burden was charged and released on a summons. On Oct. 29, Burden was arrested again for possession of 10 bags of heroin and a hypodermic needle. Alexis Delp, 27, of West Milford, was arrested for possession of 80 bags of heroin, possession with the intent to distribute and possession of a hypodermic needle. Both were charged and released on summons. John Harris, 25, of Hewitt, was arrested on Nov. 4 for possession of 19 bags of heroin. Harris was charged and released on a summons. On Nov. 10, Jessica Mulcahy, 25, of Hewitt, was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute, possession of 147 bags of heroin and possession of a hypodermic needle. This arrest was part of a six-week investigation that involved a search warrant for a house located in West Milford and two possible heroin dealers. Mulcahy was charged and placed in the Passaic County Jail on a $10,000 bail with no 10 percent option. The West Milford Police Department aided in a six-month investigation from May to October, 2010, by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office that culminated in 15 arrests for heroin distribution in the county. Those arrested were from Paterson, Clifton, Wayne and New Brunswick, and included three men considered suppliers of large quantities of heroin and cocaine. Ronald Carrasquillo, 41, of Clifton, Rafael Perez, 53, of Paterson, and Ronald Fontanez, 31, of Paterson, were charged with numerous drug and weapons charges. The West Milford Detective Bureau, including Detective Frank Elia, Detective John Pesenti, Detective David VanDalinda and lead Detective Michael Malfetti, is continuing efforts to remove drugs from the streets of West Milford, according to the release. The detective bureau is aggressively following leads and corroborating information gathered during this six-week investigation.
