VERNON On Saturday, Jan. 28, West Milford was one of fourteen high schools that raced in the NJSIRA “Dual” Slalom held at Mountain Creek Ski Area. A total of 160 skiers took part in the event, 83 Varsity Boys and 77 Varsity Girls. In the Varsity Boy’s Division, Jon Paulovich and Shelby Sarnowski were in the top ten finishers who were awarded metals with Jon leading all skiers in the event and Shelby finishing in 9th place. In the Varsity Girl’s Division, Sam Wecht finished in 13th place and Jade Fiskaa finished in 15th place. In the Western Race Giant Slalom #3 results, held at Mountain Creek Ski Area on January 24, the Varsity Boys and Girls both finished in 3rd Place in the overall team results.
