The West Milford Highlanders scored their first win of the football season last week in a thrilling Homecoming victory against Northern Highlands, 30-27. According to Coach Don Dougherty, it was tough to pick just one player. So, based on the performance of the offense, the coaches chose the entire offensive line as this week's players of the week. Seniors Chris Boes, TJ Dionisio, James Hoffman, Shane Lepore and Allen Burgsthaler and juniors Jadrien Traviseo and Liam Lakardis were the offensive line who paved the way for a total of 200 yards rushing on the night. They opened running lanes for Anthony Battinelli (52 yards), Dylan Walko (69 yards) David Zeppitelli (36 yards) and several other Highlander running backs to gives the Highlanders their most dominate rushing attack as a team so far this season. "With this rushing attack, we were able to achieve our first win of the season," said Dougherty. The team takes on Ramapo High School at Ramapo on Friday at 7 p.m.
