Boat safety course in Hewitt

    — A “Boat NJ” course will be offered by NJ Boating Safety Classes at the Upper Greenwood Lake Fire Department in Hewitt on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012. The cost is $65 and includes the course and all materials.
    The course meets the needs of boaters and personal watercraft (PWC) operators for a basic overview of boat and PWC operation. The boating safety class is required by the State of New Jersey - Division of State Police Marine Law Enforcement for boat safety education and is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators. It meets the New Jersey state law requirements for boating safety certification.
    The course will be held at the Upper Greenwood Lake Fire Department, 776 Warwick Turnpike in Hewitt. The classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
