    Newton 2 - High Point 1 Luke Sparling has been named the sussexcountyinyterscholasticleague.com/Eastern Propane Player of the Week after scoring both goals in Newton’s 2-1 win over High Point on Tuesday. Following a scoreless first half, Sparling put the Braves on the board 12 minutes into the second half when he scored off an assist from Ryan Kedlash. Six minutes later he tallied the game-winner unassisted before Alex Malcolm halved the margin for the Wildcats with seven minutes left on the game clock. Keeper Phil Spence recorded five saves. High Point 4 - West Milford 1 Alex Malcolm turned in a hat trick effort to key High Point’s 4-1 win over West Milford that locked up a berth in the NJSIAA post-season playoffs. Drew Styer added a goal with Malcolm picking up an assist while Shane Bosma was credited with a pair of assists. Matt Hlavary passed off an assist and keeper Dustin Vandergroet came up with 10 saves. Kittatinny 4 - Belvidere 0 Goalie Brandt Memmelaar came up with nine saves as Kittatuinny shut out Belvidere 4-0 in a non-league match. Joey Ditta, Eric Gonzalez, Tim Hennessey and Justin Junior netted the goals with Gonzalez and Nick Montella picking up assists. Sparta 4 - Hopatcong 1 Sparta snapped a 1-1 deadlock at intermission with three unanswered goals down the stretch to defeat Hopatcong 4-1. Curtis Osusky scored twice with Tommy McCormick scoring in between. Nick Cinotti put the Spartans on the board four minutes into the contest, while Kyle Behrendt, Nic Heckman and Kyle Plifko dished off assists. Keeper Greg Milelr made two saves. Pope John 2 - Wallkill 1 Pope John defeated Wallkill Valley 2-1 in double overtime when Pete Maloney netted the game-winner with one minute remaining in the second OT period. John Hart, off an assist from Pete Asltenburg, gave the Lions a 1-0 lead at halftime. Keeper Chris Scwork kept the Lions in contention by coming up with nine saves.
