    Newton blanked Glen Rock of the Bergen-Passaic Scholastic League by a score of to 2-0 as the Braves captured the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1, Group II boys’ soccer crown. It was the first sectional title since 1999. Seeded No. 11, the Braves had to win four straight road games to claim the championship plaque. Newton’s goals came with 20 seconds in the first half.
