    Hobb Engler announces baseball registration Byram - The Byram Hobb Engler Little League announced the registration for registration for the 2006 little league baseball season. The organization will hold registrations at the CO Johnson Field House on Roseville Road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 28; from 12 noon to 3 p.m., on Sunday, Jan. 29; and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30. Starting this year, children 5 years of age will be eligible to play T-ball. A player’s league age is determined by his or her age as of April 30 this year. Hobb Engler teams range from ages 5 to 16 years old. Fees are $75 for the first player of a family, and $50 for the second player. Opening day is slated for Saturday, Apri 29. New managers and coaches are required to take the Rutgers clinic offered in town later this year. An umpires’ clinic will be announced before the beginning of the season for those interested in helping with officiating games. Parents are also being asked to volunteer to help with concessions, fund raisers, and to serve in other committees throughout the course of the season. Parents interested in volunteering, are asked to see the league president, Lori Grant, during registration.
